What is the 'Marketing Mix'? Help please?

Okay, so, for my business studies coursework we needed to plan out setting up a new, small, retail business. One of the points I have to complete is; 'My Recommended Marketing Mix (Refer to your cost information, your customers’ opinions and your knowledge of your competitors, what methods of promotion are you going to use. Be realistic, considering you are a small and new business.) I don't really understand what I need to do for this, please could somebody help? For 10 points? Thanks x
